The RN Monitor Tech, Full Time, Night Shift, with the new Hospital at Home Department applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.

Your Role:

The RNs will be located in a "command center" monitoring telemonitoring screens tracking Vanderbilt Hospital at Home patients and communicating directly with patients/caregivers, field nurses and other care team members as needed.

SIGN ON BONUS: This position offers a $10,000 sign on bonus for new to Vanderbilt, full time hires. Paid out in three increments. (Former Vanderbilt employees must be separated from Vanderbilt at least two years to qualify for the sign on bonus.)

Hospital at Home Department

The newly developed Hospital at Home department focuses on providing hospital acute care in the home environment. Patients will be evaluated in the hospital setting and admitted to services, but deemed appropriate to be cared for in the home.

Position Shift:

  • 36 hour work week
  • 12 hour shifts
  • 7pm to 7am -Night Shift
  • Orientation will be extensive and include a preceptor
  • Expect some weekend hours
